At Olive Counsel We Believe
You deserve a life that re-connects you with yourself, with others and with what you hold sacred.
We are committed to supporting your journey towards wholeness and wellbeing.
What is Olive Counsel?
Olive Counsel is a consultancy providing therapeutic psychological services. It is a private psychological counselling and therapy practice that is Trauma and Resilience informed.
We begin the healing and growth journey by meeting you where you are, in a safe and non-judgmental environment, with all your present challenges and imprints of the past. Through a Therapist-Client collaborative approach, we help you reconcile and heal from past wounds, learn to live mindfully in the present with a sense of peace and purpose, and help you acquire skills that support growth and resilience as you move into the future.
Our counseling approach helps you transform your relationship with yourself, how you show up with others and how you engage with the wider world. It is also geared towards reconnecting you to that which you hold sacred.
I would love to live like the river flows, carried by the surprise of its own unfolding.

Olive Counsel as a Concept and Process…
Olive Counsel is a name of an idea and a process.
The Olive in Olive Counsel is directly inspired from the sacred olive tree and the life-giving characteristics of its fruit, leaves and oil. The firmly rooted, evergreen tree survives in the harshest of conditions to provide us food, light and shade. It benefits generations, bearing more fruit as it ages.
For us at Olive Counsel the olive tree is a near perfect metaphor for human growth and development. We aim to incorporate concepts in the therapy process that lead to developing individuals with sturdy roots, who are consistently fruitful, whose shade provides peace and whose light is a source of guidance. We are committed to bring forth qualities that olives have symbolized throughout history and across cultures, namely that of calmness, clarity, courage, wisdom, peace, hope, healing, abundance, purity, longevity and companionship. We hope by actively engaging in this process the clients will find healing and growth from the inside out, slowly but surely.
My experience with Miss Farheen has been incredibly empowering in my healing and self awareness journey. Her approach is gentle yet assertive and she has allowed me to view how much control I really have over my own life. Her techniques, when applied in my daily life, have improved my overall wellbeing and as an extension of that, the wellbeing of those around me. I would highly recommend her as a therapist.

What I like most about Ms Farheen’s counselling practice is her faciliatory approach in which she allows that safe and receptive space for me to voice my concerns with no filters. During my weekly conversations with her, she made it a point to withhold conclusions and verdicts till I felt ready enough to receive them. And even then I would feel that she is not endorsing them which I feel is important as you don’t want your own voice to be submerged with the weight of judgment, even if its valid. So her approach has been quite measured, and I felt a sense of autonomy even while navigating through emotional whirlpools. There is a quotable quote in her office which reads: people begin to heal as soon as they feel heard. And her practice as a therapist fully aligns with that. Being a religious person myself, I also deeply valued how she would offer relevant and specific spiritual insights without any sanctimony (which unfortunately seems to be the reflexive recourse of most religious support groups and can be quite off putting for someone who is hurting and trying to be recover). So all in all, I would wholeheartedly recommend her to those who want to be heard and are looking for a thorough yet thoughtful and steady road to healing and finding themselves again.
I am immensely grateful for the transformative journey I have experienced under the guidance of Ms Farheen. Through her compassion, exceptional skills and unwavering support, I have emerged from a place of emotional turbulence to one of remarkable strength and resilience.
From the outset, her approach exuded empathy and understanding, creating a safe space where I felt truly heard and valued. With her guidance, I embarked on a journey of healing through EMDR therapy, a process that has been nothing short of life changing.
Under her care, I have found solace and clarity, gradually unraveling the layers of trauma that once weighed heavily upon me. Her gentle yet steadfast demeanor instilled in me a sense of trust and confidence, allowing me to confront and overcome challenges with newfound courage. I have not only learned to navigate my emotions with resilience but have also cultivated a renewed sense of positivity and empowerment in every aspect of my life.
What sets my therapist apart is her innate ability to forge a deep and meaningful connection. She possesses a rare strength and resilience herself, inspiring hope throughout my journey. In her, I have found not just a therapist, but a mentor and guiding light who has imparted invaluable lessons and wisdom that will resonate with me for a lifetime. To anyone seeking profound transformation and healing, I wholeheartedly recommend my therapist Ms Farheen.
Thank you, from the depths of my heart, for being the catalyst for my journey towards emotional liberation and empowerment.
